Tippler Tour (AKA Pub Crawl)

We had a fabulous evening with boomer friends John and Betsy Crawford in Philly. We took a 90 min walking tour with a costumed guide of four historic taverns in Philly. At each tavern we were treated to a special beverage. It was a blast!! My favorite tavern was BookBinders, where we were give a sample of snapper soup (turtle soup) not my favorite, the ale was good but, what I was most interested in was the Presidents Room each President had their picture on the wall, but, the most interesting fact was that every president had actually visited this tavern . I thought that was pretty amazing!!

Trying to top this fantastic evening, as if we could, but we did manage …. we did the Light of Liberty Show!! This is an outdoor light show telling the story of the American Revolution. Images were projected onto the buildings where events actually took place we put on headsets and it was all done in 3D and we walked to the historic places like the site of Benjamin Franklins house, Carpenters Hall, The Second Bank of the US and of course ended up at Independence Hall. This was soooo coooool!!!!

We got home around 1 am!!

Our next trip next week is to Washington DC.

I hope you all are having the best summer ever!!!!
