We had a wonderful time in the Rio Grande Valley with GREAT Friends! After the Rio Grande we went to Abbeville, LA and stayed at Bettys RV Park- What a wonderful time we had there. Sorry I did not take any pictures I wish I had, we went to Cajun Claws and had a wonderful Crawfish dinner we had 3 1/2 of crawfish it took us well over an hour to eat them, very messy but, very very good. We stayed in Abbeville 3 nights took in some of the sights and saw some of the damage from Hurricane Rita that area was hit pretty hard. After leaving LA, we headed for Myrtle Beach, SC a little tourist town with tons of Seafood Buffets, tons of Outlet Shopping Malls, numerous T-Shirt Stands, and of course as in any tourist town a ton of Timeshare booths all offering free stuff. We did not do any timeshare tours. We did see a show we went to see Good Vibrations a wonderful show it was a musical review from the 60, 70, & 80's very good and very talented singers. We will be in Washington DC the first two weeks of April. Until next time......

We finally made it to Texas where we met up with the Bornkamps and the Merrymans.
Our trip in the new motorhome was very different than our 5th wheel. We are still getting used to all the bells and whistles and there are many. John and Gordon up on the roof installing our Solar that we really missed on our travels. The Bornkamps took us to Pepes on the River, a bar and restaurant that caters to the Texan Snowbirds they have great music in the afternoon and tends to be a very busy place to hang out. The Dixon’s came out to see us and we celebrated Johns Birthday (54th). The weather has been pretty warm. Now that John has the solar installed now we can do some sightseeing. The pictures below were taken by Laura Bornkamp.
